Tongue base mucosectomy highly effective in identifying occult primaries.

Our new systematic review and meta-analysis in Oral Oncology shows that tongue base mucosectomy by transoral surgery is effective in identifying the site of the primary cancers of the tongue base in patients presenting with occult primaries.
